At Hafa Badrum, we have been selling bathrooms in flat packages since 1962. Today, you can purchase a Hafa bathroom in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. This is a summary of our long story:
1962 Lars Andersson started a manufacturing business, making teak hat-racks and other items. Manufacturing premises were located in the towns of Halmstad and Falkenberg - hence the name Hafa Badrum. 1966Hafa Badrum produced the market's first wooden (teak) bathroom cabinet. Its launch was a success and made HAFA a leading manufacturer in the bathroom furniture market. In the mid 70s Hafa Badrum was acquired by HDF-bolagen AB, which saw major development potential in the bathroom business. 1995 The Uppsala company Gent Dusch was acquired, followed five years later by the Danish shower and bath supplier, Hassel & Teut. The company is now a one-stop supplier of showers and baths. 2001 Hafa AB was converted into an independent subsidiary company. Hafa is part of the Hafa Bathroom Group, which is an active steward of the brands, with sales to bathroom retailers in the Nordic market. It is owned by Ratos. 2005 Hafa AB acquires Westerbergs Badrum AB. Together, the companies become the largest market player in Scandinavia, with an estimated turnover of SEK 500 million in 2008. A new group is formed and becomes the Hafa Bathroom Group. 2006 Hafa launches two new ranges of designer furniture. Hafa Kioto and Hafa Quant together with the designer Rutger Andersson. Success! 2007 The bathroom ranges are followed by Hafa Mizu, a personal little piece for freestanding washbasins. 2008 Hafa launches Hafa Igloo Flower, a designer shower produced in limited quantities.
