What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that the website you visit wants to store on your computer. Cookies are used on many websites to give the user access to various features. The information in a cookie can be used to track the user's websites. According to the Electronic Communications Act, which came into force on July 25, 2003, anyone who visits a website with cookies should receive information on:

  • that the site contains cookies
  • what they are used for
  • how to avoid them

Why do we use cookies?

The primary purpose of our use of cookies is to make our website more user-friendly and give you the best experience of our website. Some of our services require cookies to function properly, while other cookies improve the services for you. Some features and services would not work without cookies. We use session cookies to technically keep track of what a user does on the page, login, put something in the shopping cart, etc. Briefly, it works like this: All information that should remain between two-page loads must somehow be associated with a particular user. This is done by storing a unique key in a user's browser. When the user loads a new page, the key is sent to the page and we can thus determine if the user is logged in and if he has added something to the shopping cart etc.

How to delete cookies?

You can choose whether or not to accept cookies. You can choose to set your browser so that you can actively accept every new cookie a website sends to your computer. The browser can also delete previously stored cookies. See the browser help pages for more information. Go to settings on your browser or device to learn more about adjusting the settings. In the settings there are different choices you can make. Please note that some of our features will not work fully if you block or delete cookies.
