Sustainability

Sustainability & design since 1962

We have a great love of Swedish tradition and our Halland roots. Since the beginning, we have had a passion for quality and a vision that everything can be done a little better. Economising on resources and creating long-term solutions is simply part of our DNA. By reducing our CO2 footprint by 50% by 2030, we want to help fulfil the Paris Agreement. You can read more about our sustainability goals in detail in our Sustainability Report.

We make a difference together

We can also make a difference together with small, simple means. A bathroom is renovated every 10-15 years, and we ensure that the quality of our products will last the life of the bathroom, and then some. Our guarantee is one of the longest in the industry, with 25 years on bathroom furniture and our most popular shower ranges. If you're looking to repair or upgrade your Hafa bathroom fittings, here are our thoughts and ideas on what we can do together to economise on our resources.

RE | USE

Our products are designed for long-term use. Hafa products can be given a new lease of life by repairing and reusing them or selling them on. Renew with new doors, repaint, replace worn parts and update with modern handles. With a generous 25-year warranty on our bathroom furniture and most popular showers, along with an extensive stock of spare parts, we aim to extend the lifespan of our products and thereby reduce the need for new materials.

RE | DUSE

Reducing our use of natural resources is the way we can make the biggest difference to the environment together. At Hafa, we have worked hard to completely phase out fossil fuel based heating of our premises and switched all lighting to LED and through our outlets we make sure to completely sell out our discontinued products when they can no longer be sold through our regular sales channels. We analyse and calculate our products and their environmental footprint through EPDs (Environmental Product Declaration). The EPD shows how we can most effectively improve and reduce the product's footprint. This can include designing the product for more efficient production with minimal waste and choosing materials with the least possible impact on health and the environment. There are also continuous improvements for more efficient use of packaging materials and a constant search for new materials to reduce the need for virgin materials.

RE | CYCLE

At the end of the product life cycle, we have made sure to design our products for easy disassembly and material separation. This facilitates the separation of each material so that they can be used as efficiently as possible to either produce energy, or be reused as materials in the manufacture of new products. By reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills, we reduce our environmental impact and promote a more sustainable use of our resources.

TOGETHER WE TAKE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

At Hafa, we constantly strive to attract, develop and retain competent and motivated employees. Together, with joint efforts, we can develop our health and work environment close to us, at our suppliers and our fellow human beings around the world.

Sustainability focus for our products

Of course, we follow mandatory directives and regulations for our products, but we also work closely with external parties who review our products from a human and environmental perspective. The review, and the assessment that follows, makes it easier to make a better choice when buying a product from Hafa. In addition, we are constantly improving the quality of our products.

CONSTRUCTION PRODUCT DECLARATIONS

CONSTRUCTION PRODUCT DECLARATIONS

Construction product declarations are a document containing detailed information about a product. The declaration shows how a product should be handled during the construction phase, the use phase and when it becomes waste. It also provides information on the content and environmental impact of the product. You can find our construction product declarations as PDFs on our website or at byggvarudeklarationer.se to easily fulfil your documentation needs. These are stored for 10 years even after the product has been discontinued, so you can feel confident in your choice.
